1654 Society

The 1654 Society is the National Museum of American Jewish History's new annual leadership giving society. Named for the year that the first community of Jewish settlers arrived in the United States, members of the 1654 Society represent the characteristics of those 23 brave men, women, and children who landed on the shores of New Amsterdam — strength, tenacity, and leadership. Funds raised by 1654 Society members will be invested in the Museum’s highest prioritiesand directed toward strengthening our outreach to and engagement across the country.
